1. Recreation and Athletics: a. Freshers celebration day for all the courses, ie GNM, B.Sc, M.Sc, and PC B.Sc students for the proper familiarization and for easy orientation, and to identify talents of the students. b. Teachers day celebrations on September 5th. Teachers are motivated and encouraged to participate in athletics and cultural activities. - Voting method was used to identify the best teachers. - On the day of teachers day, both the students and teachers participate in cultural activities. c. Ganesha Festival, Onam, Sarasvathi Pooja, Kannada Rajyothsava, Christmas,Cultural festival, Farewell Party/ send off party are celebrated by the SNA with Devotion and Dedication under the support of management. Athletics:
a. We actively participate in any epidemic out breaks like chikungunya fever,
in identification of problem, treatment and control of disease. b. Students are encouraged to participate in many camps organized
Eg. Muddenahalli camp on every 4th Sunday, 6-7 students are posted to this

3. Honors, awards and travel: Ø All the efforts of students and faculty is identified and acknowledgedrespectively. Ø Travel: We take students for educational visits to different places for both fulfillment of curriculum requirement as well as for pleasure. 4. Leadership and Organization: Ø We have a self sufficient, cheering and strength full association that is, Students Nurses Association. Ø Active, enthusiastic & honest students are selected for SNA Bearers. Ø We have different positions under SNA, as per their position they are assigned to work. Ø We encourage and motivate the SNA Bearers to take up the responsibilities which help in overall development of leadership qualities. 5. Performance and presentation: Ø As per the needs of the society, students are motivated to prepare:
As per the calendar of events we also plan seminar, group education, and synopsis, panel discussions and students are encouraged to plan and implement these programmes. "Come together to Smile at each other" |
SNA ACTIVITIES: | ||
Every student by virtue of joining the Nursing course automatically becomes a member of the Student Nurses Association. It is a nation wide organization, established in 1929. A wide variety of activities is encouraged at all levels for the SNA members. These activities are professional, social, cultural and recreational in nature and include organizing professional meetings and conferences, conducting exhibitions, essay writing and elocution contests, project works, dance, drama, music and painting, etc. In addition to the above institutional celebrations like Kannada Rajyothsava, Lamp lighting, Graduation, Independence Day, etc., are organized. Every Institute will have a SNA Unit and the Unit activities are organized and conducted by the elected office bearers under the guidance of an SNA advisor and the Principal. Funds for these activities are raised through student subscriptions. |

READING AND RECREATION: | ||
Magazines of general reading such as India-Today, Famina, Film Fare, Womans Era, Wisdom, Vanitha, Nutrition and Health Care, Health for Millions, etc., and newspapers such as Deccan Herald, Indian Express, Times of India and Malayala Manorama are purchased from the SNA Fund. The student on rotations will be in-charge of the reading room, which is kept open 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. every day. Current magazines will be issued for circulation among the students. The institute provides spacious sports room which includes table tennis, carom boards, chessboard and many other indoor games. There is also an outdoor game facility for throw ball and tenny coit. The sports and recreation committee is responsible for organizing and conducting games and sports periodically and participating in State Level and National Level competitions. |
Hostel

Hostel facility is available only for girls. Students are accommodated in spacious, well-ventilated rooms provided with all the necessary comforts. They have a separate mess managed by the students themselves.
A full time warden is appointed to look after the general cleanliness of the hostel and to see that the students adhere to the rules and regulations. She takes the night attendance at 8.00 p.m. and reports any violations of hostel rules of the Principal for corrective action.
